Event Overview

Herackthon 2026 is a premier, project-based tech competition. We are dedicated to breaking industry stereotypes and driving inclusive engineering. Guided by our mission, “Hack for Her, Build for All.” our doors are open to everyone. We unite diverse developers, designers, and innovators to build impactful, women-centric technology.

We go far beyond traditional weekend hackathons that stop at a slide deck. Herackthon 2026 is about real-world execution. After a rapid build phase, teams enter a grueling 2-Week Market Sprint. To win, they must ship code to live production, acquire real users, and build genuine community traction.

How You Can Help

Our total event budget is $15,000, which covers the $10,000 prize pool as well as venue, catering, production, and marketing. Any level of support you can offer to help us reach this goal would be greatly appreciated! We welcome cash sponsorships starting at $500, as well as in-kind support (e.g. API credits, compute, product licenses).

Key Milestones

  1. Sign-up Phase
    Sept 14 – Sep 18

    Team formation, ideation, and official registration.

  2. The Build
    Sept 19 – Sep 27

    Rapid prototyping, coding, and continuous product iteration.

  3. Demo Day
    Sept 28 – Sep 29

    Teams showcase their minimum viable products (MVPs) and pitch directly to an expert panel of judges.

  4. Push to Market & Traction
    Sept 30 – Oct 13

    The ultimate stress test. Teams compete live in the wild to grow user adoption and prove market fit.

  5. Grand Finale Ceremony
    Oct 14

    Top finalists pitch live on stage, final user engagement metrics are locked in, and the winners are crowned.
