Are women the primary users, and how does that show
Everyone can use Prove/n, however, women are disproportionately affected by the problem it targets — research links social media use, especially on visually-driven, comparison-heavy platforms like TikTok and Instagram, to higher rates of social anxiety and comparison-driven distress in women specifically. The app surfaces a supportive check-in message once a user crosses an extended-use threshold (60+ minutes) on a given platform in a day — a moment aimed at interrupting exactly the kind of prolonged, passive scrolling this research identifies as most harmful.
